Oooh is there a release date? I’ve been listening to all your books in chronological order on my commute for several months and JUST finished Shadow Earl.
Hooraay! My eyes aren’t what they were and I’m so grateful for audio books. Nowadays they’re read by such superb narrators/actors that the story really comes alive. Keep the wonderful books coming Stella, I’ve learnt so much actual history in the most entertaining way possible and I love your stories!
Hello Ms. Riley,
I’ve enjoyed reading the Rockliffe Series you authored.
My passion is reading and being born on December 16 you’ll understand why I call myself an Austenite as well as an Anglophine, because my reading and viewing is of all things English, and in particular, the 1800’s, which is why I also enjoy the writings of Georgette Heyer.
Would you share with me your viewpoint on writing for the drawing room vs the bedroom. I ask this because Book 2 of the Rockliffe Series caused my glasses to fog up, which the other two did not. I prefer my glasses not to fog up since I live life as a celibate. Excluding the “foggy bits” I enjoyed Book 2 very much.
I appreciate that the ‘bedroom scenes’ aren’t to your personal taste, Alicia, but a lot of readers feel differently and expect them. I assure you that, compared to some other writers, mine are very tame and usually only one such scene per book. But if you prefer not to read that scene, you can simply flip the page!
Thank you for responding to my comment.
I advocate your suggestion…I just skip over the bedroom scenes. You paint such a vivid picture of your characters I empathize with them.
Thank you, Alicia. I hope that works for you – I do the same with certain authors whose work I otherwise like but who, in my opinion, fill too many pages with the hero and heroine thinking about the deed in addition to actually doing it. At least I avoid that particular trap.

I’m glad you enjoy our audiobooks, Beatrix. Alex is terrific, isn’t he?
